The Schimberg Group’s first LEED project, the Whole Foods Market in Sarasota, Florida is recognized as the first LEED Silver Certified Grocery Store in the Whole Foods chain and one of the first in the country.

Integrating an abundance of skylights, an 8,000 gallon water system that filters and pumps all non-potable roof water back into the store for use throughout the store, and recycled materials including newspaper-based walls, wheatboard signage and bamboo floors, this store is the benchmark for other grocery store chains to design responsibly and sustainably.
